Societe Anversoise du Commerce au Congo stock. Second largest rubber company in the Belgian Congo.
In Katanga the companies holding concessions and the state are jointly represented by the Comite special du Katanga. In 1906 four new companies were formed in which British, American and French capital was largely invested. Of these companies the Union miniere du Haut Katanga had for object the development of the mineral wealth of the district named, while the Chemin de fer du Bas Congo undertook to build a railway from Leopoldville to Katanga. The American Congo Company was granted a rubber concession in the Kasai basin. The fourth company, the Societe internationale forestiere et miniere du Congo, combined mining operations with the exploitation of forest produce.

Kinner Airplane & Motor Corporation
Kinner Airplane & Motor Corporation Jeffries Banknote Co., Los Angeles.
Amelia Earhart first learned to fly at the Kinner airfield in an OX-5 Canuck. Surprisingly enough, her instructor was a woman. Amelia hired Anita “Neta” or “Snooky” Snook for $500 for the first 12 hours of instruction, only taking another three before she was ready for her solo. Neta Snook was the first woman to own her own aviation business carrying passengers, designing aerial advertisments, and commercial instruction. On July 24th, 1922, Amelia’s 25th birthday, she purchased the prototype Kinner Airster for $2,000 and later named her plane the Kinner Canary. Her plane was designed and built right at the Kinner Airfield in Glendale. Gaining most of her experience in her first aircraft, Amelia went on to bigger and better events marked forever in history.
Although, Kinner went bankrupt in 1937 selling his aircraft rights to Timm Aircraft and engine rights to a new Kinner Motors. The founder of Timm Aircraft, Otto William “Barnstormer” Timm actually gave Charles Lindbergh his first airplane ride. The new Kinner Motors company produced thousands of engines for trainers during World War II. Later reorganized in 1946, Kinner Motor, Inc. was sold off to Gladden Products, a manufacturer of motor scooters.
Rare!
Color: Black or Brown
State: California

Security National Aircraft Corporation
Security National Aircraft Corporation (1933) and Security Aircraft Corporation (1937) originated from the Kinner Airplane & Motor Corporation. Winfield Bertram “Bert” Kinner founded the company in 1919 to produce radial engines as well as light general and sports aircraft. He made a name for himself as a knowledgeable aircraft and engine manufacturer.
In 1922, the city of Glendale, CA bought 33 acres adjacent to the Southern Pacific RR tracks and cleared a 1200-foot runway for the Glendale Municipal Airport. Opened in March 1923, this was considered the first paved runway of the western United States. The first hangar built there was for the ‘Kinner Airplane & Motor Corporation.’ The company was most notable for the development of the first five cylinder-radial type airplane motor. This very engine powered many early biplanes of the 1930s as well as the very well-known Ryan PT-22 USAF trainer during the 1940s.
State: California
Years: 1935-37

Paul Von Hindenburg Signed American Express Travelers Check
Paul Von Hindenburg signs this American Express Travelers check.
Paul von Hindenburg (1847-1934), German Soldier, second president of the German Reich. Full name Paul Ludwig Hans von Beneckendorf und von Hindenburg. Respected General of World War I. By the 1930s, as President became somewhat senile. Hitler was able to take over power.
Though this extremely rare check shows water stain, otherwise decent condition. Hindenburg's signature is dark, bold, and very large covering much of the back. It is interesting that it is a U.S. Travelers check payable in 10 U.S. Dollars.
An Extraordinary Rarity!!!
Country: Germany

Northern Pacific Railroad Company signed by Jay Cooke and C.D. Barney
Northern Pacific Railroad Company stock printed by National Bank Note Co. New York. Signed on back by Jay Cooke, Sr. and C.D. Barney.
Jay Cooke (1821-1905), Banker. A chance move to Philadelphia as a result of the panic of 1837 determined Jay Cooke's future career, with his eventually ending up as a partner in the distinguished banking house of Clark & Company in that city. Retiring as a wealthy man in 1857, he could not stay idle long, and founded Jay Cooke & Company in 1861, destined to become one of the most widely known banking houses in the country.
Charles D. Barney (1844-1945) was an American stockbroker. Born in Sandusky, Ohio, Barney married the daughter of prominent Philadelphia financier Jay Cooke. Following the collapse of his father-in-laws Philadelphia banking house, in December of 1873 Charles D. Barney and Jay Cooke, Jr. as a minority partner, formed the stock brokerage firm, Chas. D. Barney & Co. In 1938, Charles D. Barney & Co. and Edward B. Smith & Co. merged to form Smith Barney & Co.

"Santa Anna" - Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna Autographed Bonds
Collectible "Santa Anna" - Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna Autographed bond.
Antonio de Padua María Severino López de Santa Anna y Pérez de Lebrón (21 February 1794 – 21 June 1876), often known as Santa Anna or López de Santa Anna, was a Mexican political leader, general and President who greatly influenced early Mexican and Spanish politics and government. He first fought against the independence from Spain, and then supported it. He rose to the ranks of general and president at various times over a turbulent 40-year career. He was President of Mexico on seven non-consecutive occasions over a period of 22 years. Santa Anna boldly signs this extremely graphic bond. It is without doubt the most impressive and ornate of all autographed stock or bonds.
This $500 bond was issued in 1866 from New York City while Santa Anna was living in exile. While he schemed to depose Emperor Maximilian, he issued these bonds in hopes of regaining power. In these attempts, he was captured and sentenced to death. Still, he was released and allowed to retire to New York and later when blind, he died in poverty and neglect. Of course, we remember him because of his success over the Texans at the Alamo and later his defeat and capture by Sam Houston at San Jacinto in 1836.
Found in an old leather container in Texas, this Santa Anna signed American bond is fully issued, uncancelled, has no folds, has full margins and is in Superb condition.
Price On Request.
